Anna Sui Haul

Hello beauties
Since creating my blog I have to throw my hands up and say I've fell victim of blogging trends, especially in the beauty world. There's been so many products I've spent money purchasing simply because it was a 'blogger fave'. When my Mum ordered me a haul of Anna Sui products from BeautyBay, I was so excited to try out a new brand that you don't hear about in every beauty post you read!

Anna Sui is a brand named after its owner and has been established in the beauty industry for many years. Unfortunately I didn't do my research before purchasing from this brand and I've found it's not CF, which is dispiriting. I know this is a big no no for many beauty lovers so I had to mention it in this post.

As I've purchased my products now I will be keeping them, however I'll definitely not be repurchasing from this brand until they sort their policies out.

My first product was a disappointment for my Mum, she'd thought she'd ordered me a glamorous retro styled eyeshadow palette. When it arrived it was simply a small jewellery box that had a mirror inside and a monochrome bottom. Even though it's not what I expected, the box is alluring; whilst closed it's the classic pairing of black and gold, it will make for a perfect bedroom ornament and blog prop.

The first actual beauty product was a beautiful blush in the shade Pink Rose. Cased in what seems to Anna Sui's signature packaging, the pressed powder formed blush contradicts the gothic casing by being a fusion of stunning pale 'princess' colours. As there are five different shades to mix I'm eager to see what the end results are and how they appears over make-up.
My final purchase was Lipstick M in the shade 371 Maroon Pink, which was publicised as a 'daring combination of deep plum and dusky pink'. This lipstick reminds me of baked blushes, it has a beautiful carved nib which is two toned of the plum and pink. As the Anna Sui site states you will never get the same wear/shade twice, each will be like wearing a new lipstick! I can't wait to see the looks I can fabricate with this product.

As always, my basket came over a certain cost amount and I was welcomed with a free gift (totes wasn't intentional..). I received Eye & Face Colour Angel Feather in A500 Tree, a chocolate-brown shade that's perfect for a coffee and cream look. I love the delicacy of this single shadow and the angel wing imprinted. I've got a feeling it won't be as intense of colour as it appears in the pan and more of a pop of pigment to the lid!

I'm so impressed with the look of all these products, they're such a dream to photograph and oh so instaworthy! I really can't wait to test and get writing up my reviews on them.

Have you ever tried products from Anna Sui?

The angel wing imprint is gorgeous! I agree though that the shade may look different on your eyelids.

I heard Anna Sui before but I personally never bothered to purchase their product due to their policy, but I do admit that their product is truly beautiful.

Ooh I love that you've bucked the trend - as much as I love reading all the different views on 'blogger faves' it's great to read about a lesser-heard of brand. I agree, it's a shame it's not CF, but in the meantime your photography is lovely, and I must admit the packaging is very cute! Bless your Mama buying you some lovely treats too - how sweet :)

Ugh, I can't understand a brand not being cruelty free in this day and age! It's really inexcusable. But on the plus side, the packaging is indeed quite pretty and will make for some stunning blog photos!
