Little Things Mean The Most

Hello my lovelies!
Hope you're all having a fabulous Friday! Over the last few blog posts I've been a little down and just not myself, plus it's not really the way I wanted to start my new blog and introduce myself to you all however today I feel like being positive and telling you some things that have made me feel happy over the last few weeks. I hear quite a lot how 'little things mean the most' and I agree completely, obviously one thing I'm going to be speaking about isn't what you'll claim to be a 'little thing' however it's a really big happy thing!

As I said I'm going to be an Aunty again in September, I found out in February on my Dads birthday.. if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you'll of seen it's a little girl! Honestly I wasn't expecting it to be a girl, which is funny because when my nephew was expected I was convinced he was going to be a little girl! I'm so excited that not only have I got a beautiful nephew but I'll also have a gorgeous niece too! My sister and brother in law have been thinking of names but nothing is set in stone yet. This is obviously my big happy news!

My second thing is blog related, I feel like in the blogging world there's so much pressure on everything! When I wrote my first blog I had no idea how much pressure there would be on my photos, I'm not saying bloggers bitch about other bloggers photography, in fact every blogger I've spoken to has been absolutely lovely and it's one of the best things about blogging is getting to speak to these lovely girls, however it's when they say their own photos aren't up to standard and also how long it takes to get the perfect photo, this makes me worry and doubt myself! Until a few days ago I wasn't happy with any of my photographs, however my last couple of posts I've felt happy and proud of!
My last happy thing is as we all know I've had pneumonia and been really ill, however by now I thought I'd be better so last week I told my friend I'd be up to going for a drink with her, by Thursday I knew that wasn't the smartest idea and I had to let her down, however I'd knew that'd she'd understand and we'd rearrange! Fast forward to this Wednesday I was in on my own and I heard something get posted through the door but just presumed it was a chippy leaflet or something rubbish, but no, the little love had sent me a £20 gift voucher for River Island! I was really touched she'd even thought of me, never mind got me a voucher for my favourite shop.  I truly believe that little things can mean the most, especially when you're not feeling yourself, just knowing you're doing something right or somebody's thinking of you even when you're not around can boost your self esteem and brighten you're day in just the slightest way. These are three things that have made me happy and got me out of my downer, even just for a few minutes.

Leave some comments on what made you smile this week, I'd love to know

  1. Ah congratulations on becoming an Auntie! Really exciting :)

I decided that I just don't worry about the standard of my pictures. There's no way I can afford a top camera or anything, so it is what it is :) Takes the pressure off and means I enjoy it.

If you get a minute, check out my blog ( and dissapointing photos :p) at :)

  2. Thanks for your comment chicken! Ah I've stopped putting pressure on them now myself, I'll definitely have a look at your blog now (and disappointing photos;)!) xx
