Hello Kitty Brush and Mystery Contour-Review

Hello loves!
So at Christmas something weird happened, I had asked my mum for Kat Von D Shade and Light face contour kit, unfortunately all her products had sold out so there was no way I could get my hands on it. A few days before Christmas a parcel came addressed to my mum and inside there was two Hello Kitty brush sets and one unknown contour pallet which I presumed was also Hello Kitty but now I'm unsure, my mum came to me asking if I'd ordered them, I didn't even know Hello Kitty did make up, and if they did I would of thought it would be for younger girls maybe experimenting with make up for the first time, but why would an eleven year old want a contour pallet? Like seriously
when I was eleven I was rubbing bright pink lipstick on my cheeks as a blush, not going all Kimmy K wearing perfect make-up!
Anyway we opened up the parcel and inside there was one contour pallet and two brush sets, at first I was too interested in the contour set as I've never had one before and wanted to see whether the colours would be any good for my complexion so I wasn't too bothered about the brushes.. however when I did take notice of them they certainly got my attention! Oh my goodness! Now I love make up, over the last year I've gotten into my good make-up brands, however brushes are just brushes to me.. until these!
To start with the tin the brushes come in is quite pretty and girly, plus it's tin so it's strong and won't break should you drop it. Then inside you get seven brushes that are all different and for different applications. As a few of the brushes are what you expect so I'm not going to go into detail but you do get an eyeshadow brush, a lip brush and angled eyeliner brush, all have really soft bristles so they don't scratch whilst you're applying your make-up! The two brushes that are my favourite though are the contour brush which is the perfect shape by being a thin flatter brush so you won't get too much product on so it's easier to blend and get the cheek bones and nose you dream of, the other is a big fluffy blush brush which will smooth out any harsh lines from contouring. Also the brushes themselves are really cute which is also a pro!
As for the contour pallet itself it's quite light so it would be easy to pop in your handbag if you need to touch up your make-up whilst out. The packaging isn't exactly fancy as it's just a plain black box, however it's not the packaging that counts but the product and actually the product is really good! You get fifteen different contours and highlighters, the colours are perfect for every skin colour and you could also use some of the pale pink colours as a blush. After trying them the contours blend like butter so it's not going to be hard to get that look we all wish for!
So as I mentioned I didn't order these items and I have no idea where they came from, therefore I didn't know the price  however I did some research and I found the brushes on Ebay for a price range from £7.50 to £11.00 which I think is a suitable price. Now here is why I'm sceptical of where the contour pallet came from, I can't find it on the internet at all, also it doesn't have a brand name on it and since the brushes have Hello Kitty logo on I would expect the contour to as well!

Do you know where my mystery contour is from? Please let me know!

  1. I have similar brush set like yours, but the old version. It came without a tin box and the foundation brush. Have a look mine here: http://www.thesilvertreasure.com/2013/06/hello-kitty-pink-make-up-brush-set.html

    1. It is very similar! Thank you for sharing this with me and taking time to comment!
